Well, it looks like I'll have to eat some of my own words for breakfast. I received an anonymous tip that Ryan Sabalow just won an AP award YESTERDAY for his investigative reporting story called "No Room for Inmates." Congratulations, Ryan! Hopefully you'll get a salary raise out of this! If not, I'll buy you a beer at Carnegie's the next time I see you!
But here's the catch: Ryan's story was published on June 10, 2007. Silas Lyons started working as the Editor that same month. So, just in case you're counting, I'm still looking for information about an award that has been won since Silas was at the helm. Sorry, but Silas can't take credit for this most recent award for Ryan in my opinion, but probably Kelly Brewer can.
